Based from day one at One Central Park, Winning Pitch provides high growth support services to individuals and companies to enable them to achieve breakthrough performance. The business achieved a PLUS Market listing in December 2007, and was recently nominated as PLUS Market New Business of the Year in the Fast Growth Business Awards, sponsored by T-Mobile.

Business focus

Established in 2006 by founders with more than twenty years experience of building high-growth companies, Winning Pitch’s proprietary performance coaching solutions help support the foundations for business growth and sustainable success.

Winning Pitch’s services include the Winning Business Academy, coaching nearly 400 growth-oriented individuals and companies to date, providing motivational master classes and coaching to entrepreneurs and start-ups. The company also runs BioStars, a bespoke coaching programme for biotech and biomedical companies starting up in Manchester; The Observatory – a market research service to private and public sector clients; and WPtv, an internet-protocol broadcast service for marketing, communication and learning solutions.

Services

Winning Pitch teamed up with UMIC to develop the Winning Business Academy concept. Companies incubating in UMIC facilities reported increased sales, greater business confidence, and new customer and market wins arising from their participation in the Academy.

Customers – ‘the only profit centre’ – are the focus for every business. Living in your customer’s world means high-growth businesses will be better equipped to find, win and keep customers.  Operations have to be constantly monitored for the effective and efficient running of a business – and that includes everything from finance and cash flow to staff performance and project management. ‘Fix it just the once’ means that high growth companies spend their time focusing on opportunities, not solving the same old problems.

Commenting on the success achieved from the collaboration with UMIC, CEO and founder John Leach said ‘Our mission is to ‘make it happen’ and drive breakthrough performance of individuals and businesses, delivering results for them that they didn’t believe they could achieve. We certainly seemed to have made a difference to the UMIC companies’.

Winning Pitch’s ambitions and success has seen headcount grow from six in September 2006 to 20 today, necessitating four office moves in One Central Park. John continues: ‘One Central Park has delivered spot-on infrastructure facilities, helping us each time we’ve been ready to move.
